How often should I change my muslin cloth? (2024)

Cleansing with cloths offers a gentle, waste-free way to rid your skin of makeup and dirtat the end of the day.

We’ve been fans of cleansing this way for a long time and,for the last five years, our cloths have been made by a family-owned company, established in 1996 in Denizli,Turkey.

Whether you’re new to cleansing with cloths or just want to know how to care for your stash, here’s a few of our top tips for loving your muslins.

How often should I change my muslin cloth?

We recommend changing the cloth as regularly as possible. Ideally, for acne-prone skin, we suggest using a fresh cloth daily.

We know this is sometimes tricky and, for all other skin types, every other day should be fine with a thorough rinse in hot water and using the loop (on our new Dual-Effect Cloths only) to hang to dry.

Need back ups? Extra Organic Muslin Cloths can be purchased in packs of two and packs of our Dual-Effect Sensitive Skin Cloth will be available soon.

How do I clean it?

Handily, the cloths can be machine washed at 40 degrees with other white washing. We recommend using a very gentle washing detergent, for example for one made for babies, and avoid using fabric softener.

Alternatively, the cloths can be soaked in hot water with a teaspoon of white wine vinegar & bicarbonate of soda to keep them fresh.
