Where to find vehicle Modification Station fragments in Subnautica? ›

The Vehicle Upgrade Console is a Seabase module that allows the player to upgrade and customize the Seatruck and Prawn Suit. It is constructed with the Habitat Builder and can only be placed inside a Moonpool.

Vehicle upgrade Console is located in a Data box in these areas. the area in the Spares reef where the box is located is about 200 metres down, near 2 small wrecks, the box glows blue so you'll be able to see it. I find mine in each playthrough using the last video. The Mushroom Forest wreck.

Vehicle Upgrades

Upgrade kits can be purchased from some traders or can be created in an Auto Shop facility by a survivor with the Mechanics skill. *Note: All upgrades will add armour, increase handling and increase fuel storage. The upgrade says it 'increases fuel storage', however the fuel bar doesnt increase.

MVB fragments are in wreck 1 (bloodgrass biome to the left of the Aurora) and wreck 2 (western bloodgrass biome - tall U-shaped wreck standing vertical). Life pod 17 signal will lead you to a wreck in the grassy plateaus with at least 3 fragments inside the open crates outside the wreck.

The player must scan three fragments before acquiring the recipe. Several can be found in the numerous Wrecks in the Grassy Plateaus surrounding Lifepod 5, and two in the Seamoth Bay of the Aurora.

Fragments are broken pieces of advanced technology that can be analyzed by the Scanner to create Blueprints. They are found in and around Wrecks, strewn across many Biomes around the Aurora, and scattered throughout the Degasi Seabases.

Same reason they lowered the speed of the Seaglide. Cyclops because it's to big for a lot of the caves you need to navigate in this, even the Seatruck struggles to navigate and from experience, the Cyclops is an absolute b to maneuver. The Seamoth probably because it would be to fast.

In comparison, the Seatruck can have the quickness of the Seamoth, but also the utility of the Cyclops. You can sleep in it, craft in it, use it for storage, use it to suck up fish for food, teleport to it, tow your PRAWN suit with it...

Can you make the Seatruck faster? ›

For reference, the Seatruck travels at 9.18 m/s with no modules and the player swims at about 5.9 m/s. Adding modules decreases total speed to a fixed percentage. Adding the Seatruck Horsepower Upgrade increases the speed by a fixed percentage.

The Cyclops Engine Efficiency Module can only be crafted by the Cyclops Upgrade Fabricator. This upgrade does not stack.

You can create sonar module for Prawn Suit at Modification Station. ItemID is "PrawnSonarModule". Activate it with quick slot hotkey and it will automatically ping every 5 seconds. Cooldown and energy cost are the same as for seamoth sonar.

Simply Drive into the Car Garage marker with a PLAYER OWNED Vehicle! All Upgrades are saved within your save file! Make sure you use a PLAYER VEHICLE one with a symbol on top of the vehicle, if the symbol is not there respawn the car, or you will not be able to upgrade.

While these upgrades can sometimes be found on wandering traders, the Auto Shop is required to build these upgrade kits. Upgrade kits can be created in another player's base and then taken back to your own game state to apply on your vehicles. Light upgrades cost 15 scraps of circuitry, 70 parts, and 4 materials.

One Fabricator can be found in Lifepod 5; as is the player's starting location, the use of this Fabricator is vital toward the player's progress and survival. Additional Fabricators can be constructed with the Habitat Builder and placed inside a Cyclops or a Seabase module.

To unlock the Moonpool Blueprint, the player must scan two of its Fragments. These can be found in Wrecks or the Mushroom Forest.
