Mandy Mills was once a college student herself, venturing to the US from the UK. Despite loving it here, there was one thing she noticed…laundromats don’t tend to be the cleanest of places.
That’s ironic considering it’s where people go to wash their clothing, bedding, throw rugs, and other bulky machine-washable items.
That brought her to solving the problem herself by opening Wildcat Express Laundry. With two locations in Lexington that are clean as a whistle, you’ll wonder why you ever attempted to do laundry anywhere else.
Each location features a wash and fold service if you’d rather not deal with this chore yourself. It’s only $1.48 per pound of laundry. For a weeks’ worth of clothing for a family of four, that amounts to around $75.
At either of the Wildcat Express Laundry locations, you can wash anything. Mandy has seen it all from horse blankets to gymnastics leotards. You can even wash seatbelts!
While you’re sure to notice the immaculate clean of these laundromats from the moment you walk in, another thing that will surprise you is how truly kind and genuine everyone is that works there. After meeting Mandy though, that’s little surprise. She attracts people as lovely as she is herself.
If you’ve got a lot of laundry to wash, Mandy suggests the fast machines. They can hold as much as 90 pounds of clothing in once wash. You’ll be done with that laundry you let back up in about an hour, making it a time-saving place to wash your clothes and sheets. Plus, it’s so much cleaner at Wildcat Express Laundry than the laundry facilities at the University of Kentucky dorms. With so many machines too, you won’t be stuck waiting for your turn.
The coin shortage won’t cause any drama here either. At Wildcat Express Laundry, the convenient card system is easy to use and means you never have to scrounge for change in your car or between your couch cushions.
Not only are Mandy and her pristine laundromat locations a godsend for those that don’t have their own laundry facilities, she’s so friendly that you’ll be excited when you see her around town. Mandy loves enjoying all there is in Lexington. When she’s not at her Wildcat Express locations, you may find her walking in the University of Kentucky Arboretum to clear her head and get some fresh air.
