PUEBLO, Colorado (AP) – A prisoner who died at the Colorado Correctional Facility as a result of the November 26 assault identified.

The inmate was 47-year-old Rueben Gonzalez, according to Fremont County Coroner Randy Keller.

Gonzalez was killed in prison on the same day as the assault. An autopsy on November 30 found the death a homicide, The Pueblo Chieftain said on Tuesday.

Annie Skinner, a spokesman for the Colorado Department of Corrections, said the incident was currently being investigated by the Office of the Inspector General and the office of the 11th District Court Attorney.
