JAMMU, August 21: Rajesh Gupta, Aam Adami Party (AAP) Vice Chairman Rajesh Gupta, urged J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to drop water and electricity bills for the exercise of March 2021 to March 2022 in preparation for the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The economic situation of the people of J&K has become pathetic due to strikes and blockades. The government must reciprocate with a lenient and humanitarian approach and waive the electricity and water bills for this fiscal year, ”he said.
Gupta was addressing new entrants to the AAP here.
He said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal provides free electricity up to 200 units, free water up to 20,000 liters, quality health services in public hospitals and quality education in institutions government to all.
The AAP leader warned compatriots to reject the exhausted forces that have exploited and deceived people for the past 74 years and divided people for the politics of voting banks, thus weakening the unity and integrity of the nation.
He asserted that the government has a duty to take initiatives for the well-being of people, especially in a situation like the post-COVID era.
“People must have a break from these dire circumstances,” he argued.
