The UK extended the anti-dumping duty on welded pipe and pipe from Belarus and China until January 30, 2026, but only for three of the four UK world tariff product codes to which it previously applied. In the meantime, the duty on products from Russia has been repealed.

The ad valorem tariff rate for Belarus and China is 38.1% and 90.6% respectively. The measurements relate to welded pipes up to 168.3 mm outside diameter, which are generally imported under HS codes 73 06 30 41 20, 73 06 30 49 20 and 73 06 30 77 80. pipes for oil or gas drilling , precision tubes, zinc-plated or plated tubes which are neither threaded nor threaded, and tubes with fittings adapted to conduct gases or liquids intended for use in civil aircraft.

The part of the duty that has been amended concerns welded pipes from Belarus which are subject to both anti-dumping and UK safeguard duties in force since July 1. The ad valorem duty on this product is 13.1% instead of 38.1%.

“Following the assessment of the likelihood of dumping and the likelihood of injury, TRID / TRA concluded that the anti-dumping duty on welded pipes and tubes from Belarus and China should be reduced,” said the British government in a note seen by Kallanish. “TRID / TRA also concluded that the welded pipe and pipe from Russia is unlikely to be dumped in the UK. “

The UK has also changed the anti-dumping duty rate on imports of seamless pipe up to 406.4mm OD and CEV down to 0.86 from Interpipe of Ukraine. The new duty is 8.1%. The product concerned falls under HS codes 7304 1100 10, 7304 1910 20, 7304 1930 20, 7304 2200 20, 7304 2300 20, 7304 2400 20, 7304 2910 20, 7304 2930 20, 7304 3180 30, 7304 3958 30, 7304 3992 30 , 7304 3993 20, 7304 5189 30, 7304 5992 30 and 7304 5993 20.

In addition, anti-dumping duties on pre- and post-stressed concrete (PSC) wire and strands from China no longer apply, following a TRA report recommending the removal of the duties.
