Serve Your Caribbean Rum Punch Recipe Cold

The Caribbean Rum Punch recipe is best served cold. If you don’t have enough time to chill it properly, then try freezing it for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Chef’s Tip ==> Chill or even freeze your garnishes so that the drink stays cold colder longer.

How Long Can You Store Jamaican Rum Punch

You can store this party punch rum in the fridge for at least 12 hours with no problem at all. If you are going to make it ahead, then mix it all together but do not add in any garnishes or ice until you are ready to serve.

Grenadine Substitutes

No worries if you can’t get a hold of grenadine, you can always use other similar red syrups, such as:

  • Black currant cassis
  • Jamaican fruit punch syrup
  • Pomegranate molasses
  • Strawberry syrup

RumPunch Variations

Whilst this is one of my favorite rum punch recipes – I have whipped up many other versions based on what I have available and what guests might like.

I tend to make this with white rum. However, I love adding in coconut rum which gives it an extra splash of Caribbean flavor. You can also use spiced rum as well as dark rum to suit your taste.

On special occasions, I even add in a cup of Champagne or Prosecco and that worked well too. Fizzy and fun!
